I recently started Horseback Riding - English and western. In running and troting, I felt necessity of a protective cup on my privates. It was kinda painful experience bouncing testacles and hitting them on saddles. Does someone know what gear I need and where to get it?

Thanks

Jer

  1. i would buy a cup that football players use, and also for english look for a saddle that has a low pommel its easier on those parts, or so i've heard. But make sure it fits the horse and doesnt rest on its withers

  2. Neeigh laddie! You don't need such equipment to ride comfortably. If you are taught correctly and listen to your instructor you will be safe. You should feel the bones of your "bum" on the saddle not your front "bits". Sit up straight, relax and enjoy your riding.

  3. This is the horse racing section. You'll likely get more/better answers in the Pet>Horse section.  At any rate, I don't think there are "special" athletic supporters for riding. You just go to your local sporting goods store and pick one up. Good luck!
