  1. You have XP tablet edition with the vista build.  In a sence, its both

  2. dude vista has different icon if u know what i mean vista look totally different

  3. You are running an XP machine "Vista Capable" which is to say, if you upgrade the ram and video card, you can run Vista.

But, if your COA (certificate of authenticity says VISTA, and NOT some flavor of XP, then THAT is what should be on the pc.

Now if you have multiple COA labels, then you might only be able to tell by the fact that if it runs right, it's not Vista lol.... No, look at your start menu button, is it a circular button, or a rectangular button with the word START printed on it.

The circular butting is indictive of Vista.

  4. It is most likely that the TabletPC was "downgraded" to XP as many purchasers are scared of Vista.  Vista is a good choice for TabletPC's as it has better integrated TPC functionality.

You won't have "Vista with XP running on top" but you may have a "dual-boot" system where both OS's are present.  If this is the case you would be asked which OS you want to run when you boot the machine, although it may not specify them by name.  It may say "Microsoft Windows" (which would mean Vista) and then "An older version of Windows" (which would mean XP).
