Protein and vitamin waters?

Have you noticed that soon after the bottled water industry was exposed as being regular tap water that all these new vitamin and protein waters stormed over the market in their place? Why in the world does anyone need protein or vitamins in the form of sugar water when you can buy supplements (if needed) at a fraction of the cost? They make it.... we buy it. Americans are suckers for gimmicks, aren't we.

It's an easier way to get vitamins, some people do not like to take pills

yep im guilty of all them chargers becuz i love my kellogs protein sweet tea flavor water it helps me stay full longer and quenchs my thirst

Actually I would consider those vitamin waters and protein waters to be simply new products used in place of Gatorade, etc. They don't at all seem to be replacements for bottled water...besides, not ALL bottled water was exposed to be tap water. That was just one brand. So I would have to say I don't agree...the vitamin waters are just something to be used as an alternative choice.
