Protein drinks/bars relating to bodybuilding?

forgive me but I am quite ignorant to the relation, and Ive been trying to work out a lot lately, I want to know what protein does to help this?

  1. Most people that are hard core lifters eat a protein bar before a workout because they do not have a lot of body fat and once you burn through your fat your body will burn through muscle so having the protein bar before gives your body something to burn through and having one after allows your body to either burn through it or store it as fat which you will then be able to turn to muscle.  

    So to answer your question will take laonger to turn to fat and will turn to muscle easier. so yes protein can't hurt


  2. u need protein to rebuild and help your muscles recover from the wear and tear u do when working out... thats what amino acids do

    u also need it for your bodily functions, hormones, skin, hair, nails.... and for strong immune system

    the point... make sure u are getting more protein when working out..
