Protein muscle repair?

I take regular protein twixe a day once at night and once in the morning and I take wheybolic extreme 60 right after I workout am I doing this right ? im trying to gain a little weight and keep my muscles repaired

  1. You should take a protein shake 1 hr before your workout along with some complex carb for energy.  Immediately after you workout you need to take another protein shake with a Gatorade. The Gatorade should be the only "simple" carb you eat all day.  That protein Twix may not be doing you any good if it has sugar in it.  That is the first thing you need to do.  You also should be eating meals through out the day that are full of LEAN protin( chicken, tuna, lean grond beef top sirlon, salmon etc. ) and complex carbs

    Those 2 meals are the most important next to breakfast (break fast) your body is coming of an 8 hr fast and is looking for energy.  Upon waking up in the am you need to put back some clean carbs and protein to prevent the breakdown of muscle for energy.

    You can take this further if you are serious.  Bodybuilding.com has some good tips.  You don’t have to be a hard core lifter to learn thing from the site


  2. There isn't anything wrong with what you are doing, but you shouldn't need so much protein added to your diet.  By this I mean that it indicates that the rest of your diet may be poor and you need a good balanced diet in order to build muscle - protein is not enough on its own.
