  1. The only thing that I have found to help me with my protein intake and to help me feel better is Klamath Blue Green Algae. It is VERY high in protein. It makes maintaining your protein and B-12 levels a no-brainer. Heres a link. Hope that it helps you It really helped me.

  2. Pretty sure it does, tuned fish is a good source of calcium because of the crushed bones. Thought you'd want to know sorry if I've put you off now

  3. Neither Salmon or tuna are a part of a vegetarian diet.

  4. Actually salmon is better contains omega 6 and tuna does not...plus i believe it is a bit higher

  5. Tuna wins !!!!

  6. According to site NutritionData (link below); seems to be Tuna, but not a lot of difference. Is fish still on your menu?...go on, take the next step and GO VEGGIE!

  7. I have no idea... Vegetarians and vegans don't eat fish.

  8. Don't ask questions like this in the Vegetarian and Vegan section.

  9. You asked this in the Vegetarian & Vegan forum why? o.0 Why would you expect us to....never mind.

  10. Sorry, but whoever said that salmon has more protein content than tuna is talking out their botty. Salmon has 20g protein/100g, tuna 27g/100g.

Salmon, whlst containing EFAs, is quite high in saturated fat when compared to tuna (2.5g/100g - tuna doesn't have any).

I *DO* wish people would research their answers!

  11. Tuna has less healthy omega-3 fats than salmon and mackerel.

    Salmon has more protein:

    1/2 lb salmon: 50 gm

    1- 6-oz can albacore tuna: 35 gm

  12. Why would you ask this in the vegetarian & vegan section - neither vegetarians nor vegans eat fish of any type.

  13. This is the vegetarian section.  Fish are not vegetables, grains, fruits, or legumes last time I checked.

  14. You asked this why? READ! We don't eat fish here! Protein comes from nuts and legumes! Gosh!

  15. salmon is healthier because of the healthy fatty acids it contains

  16. Well, since vegetarians don't eat fish, you're asking the wrong folks.  You might want to find a nutrition section in which to ask this.
