I weigh about 135 to 140. I want to put on about twenty pounds over the fall and winter. How much protein should I eat a day to help gain weight faster? I'd like to be about 150 or 160 by April.

  1. consensus is at least 1 grm of protien per pound of lean muscle mass. Some will say 1. 5 grams..


  2. 150-160 grams of protein daily should do for you, consider taking in 180+ grams of carbohydrates as well, your colon can't digest much protein without the equivalent amount or more carbohydrates.
