An American flag flown upside-down is a distress signal. Putting the Mexican flag above it tells me the source of the distress, and it is absolutely correct. I'm sure this isn't what the illegals, I mean protesters meant by it, but that's the way I'd have read it.

Simple.  

First, tear down the Mexican flag because it does not belong on our soil.  Put the American flag where it belongs with proper respect.

Second, check the immigration status of all those protesting.  Immediately deport that vast majority of them because they are illegals.

Third, arrest the instigators and put them in jail for vandalism.  They had no right to touch the government owned flag pole.  After they serve time in a hard labor camp, then deport them.

I agree with A Human Bean, but unfortunately what will happen instead is:

1. Counselors will be brought in for the protestors to assess them for trauma. The counselors will then refer the poor darlings to the Social Security Administration to file for disability pension on the grounds of mental anguish causing inability to hold employment. Their applications will be granted, leaving them with time on their hands to become runners for more illegal immigration.

2. The American Civil Liberties Union will file a class action lawsuit against the school district for flying the American flag on school property because the school's population is more than 51% Latino. They will win because the judicial system is

not ruling by the Constitution any longer. The school system will be bankrupt, the vast majority of students not involved will be bused to other districts, and all protestors will be enrolled in private schools at taxpayers' expense.

3. The California legislature will sponsor a bill to make the display of the Mexican flag above the American flag the law in an effort to ensure good will with the Mexican government and to fund the expansion of the gated community in Paraiso del Mar where they have their vacation homes.

4. A statue commemorating the brave stance the protestors took will be erected in front of city hall. One of the illegal aliens just brought into the United States on the latest smuggling trip will be commissioned to design the statue at a cost to the taxpayers of $500,000.

Of course, this is all tongue-in-cheek. It doesn't seem to be too far from where we're headed, though. I'm not against legal immigration, but I'm sick and tired of all the ruckus being kicked up by people who aren't even here legally. I don't want to hear about all the reasons why they aren't here legally. There are too many others who suffered just as much and did follow the law to get here. Let's pick em up by the scruff of the neck and boot them back to where they belong.
