I have been paint balling for about 3 or 4 years now...i probably go 2 or 3 times a year. I just do it for recreational fun i guess you could say. I decided that i needed a new mask and I found a Proto switch EL. Then i opted to go with a thermal mirrored chrome replacement lens. Do any of you prefer tinted lenses like that? Pros Cons? And will this thermal lens really prevent fogging?

  1. You will notice a difference between Proto's single thermal treated and dual pane thermal lenses, when it comes to goggles fogging up.

Tinted lenses are nice, but it is all about personal preference.    I personally like and have used their faded lens (ie. smoke to clear, amber to clear, etc.) with my Proto Switch SL.  Chromed lenses are fine if you are playing speedball but if you are playing woodsball, they, like some of the colored lenses, will make you stick out like a sore thumb.

  2. go with a smoke or the smoke to amber lens there nice in the sun then you dont have to have the visor on the helmet lets you get closer to the walls with your face and it wont hit your gun win your in a tight place
