  1. I am proud to be an American regardless of the medal count.  I am also proud of the American atheletes and what they stand for.

  2. You said it Marina! We don't need medals to be proud of our country, unlike other countries.

  3. I'm proud to be an American without those medals, but I am proud of our athletes.

  4. i am pround of them

  5. US has the most overall medals, but China has the most GOLDS so far.

I'm content with Michael Phelps' domination and I'll be happy with a Men's Basketball gold.

  6. always proud

  7. China is not winning the medal count tally, the U.S. is,  China has more gold........at the moment.

  8. Superbly. Even if we had no gold!

    Go Team USA.

  9. I was under the impression that China was leading.

Edit-  I suppose it depends on whether you count number of medals or "value" of medals.  I'm sure the Chinese would say they were leading!

I am intrigued by the idea that other countries are only proud when they win medals.  Many other nationalities are just as proud of their homelands (and of their athletes) as US citizens.

  10. china leads the medal count, thats why they are on top...
