Question:

Provera 10mg... how long before you got your period?

I took my provera tablets (to induce period), and i had the last one on Sunday the 3rd. It is now Sunday the 10th, and I haven't got my periods yet. So naturally i am a little worried, as they are supposed to come within 7 days of taking the last tablet.

I was wondering how many days after your last provera tablet was it when you got your periods?

Does anyone know of any reasons why this tablet wouldn't work?

I had 10mg tablets once a day for 7 days. I took a pregnancy test before i had my first tablet, just in case. And then i took another test after two days of taking tablets, just to be sure. Both were negative.

  1. When I took Provera my period started 2 days after finishing the 10 day course.  I don't remember what the dose was.  But I've read it can take up to two weeks for AF to arrive.  If she doesn't call your doctor.  My understanding is that AF not arriving after a progesterone challenge (aka, induction of period with progesterone) could point to an Estrogen deficiency which they can also help with.  Good luck!!!
