I have PCOS and I'm trying to get pregnant. I took provera for 10 days and I still haven't gotten my period. It's now day 22 after the last pill. Has anyone ever experienced this too? My doctor is going to put me on something else...prometrium...for 12 days. Hopefully this time I'll get a period.

  1. no that really isn't....I took provera twice and both times I got a period....4-5 days after my last pill....the longest I've ever heard of somebody getting there period after pill was 13 days...and  my doctor had told me that if for some reason...I didn't get my period 2 weeks after my last pill...to go in and see him...well I'm sorry to hear that you have yet another obstale to overcome...of your journey to motherhood.....best of luck and tons of Baby Dust

  2. I too have PCOS.  When my husband and I decided to have children, we discussed it with my doctor.  She prescribed Provera along with Clomid.  After about 6-8 mos on both medications, ovulation either didn't take place or was still so "off".  Finally I became frustrated and stopped taking the meds.  I didn't go back on birth control.  I just let mother nature play her part.  I began to research PCOS further on the internet.  While searching, I came across a wonderful website.  www.pcos.insulitelabs.com.  Here they offered a natural "cure" to PCOS.  A little expensive but from my experience definitely worth the money.  My husband and I had been trying for 2 years.  I ordered their product and began taking them right away.  I ordered a 3 month supply in early January, received it in mid January, and was taking it by late Jan.  I shed 15 pounds (weight was an issue for me) and after the first set, and soon after found out I was pregnant!!!  I do hope everything works out with you.  Check out their website!  And good luck!!!!
