Question:

Provera followed by no period?

I had Mirena IUD for 2.5 years and just had it removed end of July. 3 days post removal, I started having horrible cramping and very heavy bleeding. I ended up in the ER after 7 days because I was shaky and really dizzy. The Doc there put me on 10mg of Provera for 10 days. Obviously with a with-drawl bleed expected after up to 14 days after finishing the pills. It has been 22 days since I finished the Provera and I still have not gotten my period. I have had slight cramping, breast tenderness, feeling sick to my stomach..basically symptoms of PMS or pregnancy. I've never had irregular periods or bouts of heavy bleeding. So, has anyone else been though this? Or know of someone who has been though this? Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. here on the same boat! Provera could take up to 14 days to et your period. If you dont get it by then you should contact ur Doctor. Maybe he'll prescribed provera again for 10 more days. that happened to me.

Call your Doctor. ohh before calling him take a HPT to make sure your not pregnant. thats the first thing your Ob is going to ask you

    good luck
