Provide a few suggestion to possibly boost interest and participation in the amercian political system?

Tax us a little more, and take away a few more of our rights.

All of a sudden we would see huge turnouts.

Unfortunately, people respond to negative stimulus much more reliably than to positive stimuli.

- the rise of a viable third party...no more divide & conquer politics.

- no more "career" politicians. go back to the original intent of doing your public service and returning to the private sector.

- demand real answers from politicians and do not settle for rhetoric.

- dump the electoral college...I live in IL and whether I vote dem or rep it doesn't matter...my state will always be democrat

I won't make a suggestion, but will point out an observation: Do you notice how the more scandal-provoking politician is the one people become more interested in? Very similar to celebrities: It doesn't matter how beautiful or handsome they are, or how talented. The ones people keep being more interested in are the ones causing more trouble.
