Provisional licence as a form of ID

I need to get some ID but I was wondering if a provisional licence is a universally accepted form of age identification. I.e. is it accepted by all stores, clubs, pubs etc across the country?

As long as its a photocard licence then it will have all the relevant details on it. i.e. photo, dob,

It doesn't matter that its a provisional!

It's issued by the Government (DVLA to be exact) so yes it IS a valid form of ID. If they don't accept question their reasoning.

yes it is most places wont accept anything else now appart from a driving licence (or provisional) or a passport
