Question:

Pruning climbing rose?

I planted bare root New Dawn roses at my rose arch in winter. These have now grown up almost 2 metres tall but all the blooms are at the base. Each rose plant has just 2 tall thin shoots at the top. Should I prune these to encourage it to get more bushy and produce flowers higher up? If so, when should I prune and how much should I take off?

Thanks
