Ps2 making odd noises?

My ps2 (the bigger, older version) is making an odd noise everytime I put in a certain disk, like a "virring" or grinding like noise. The disk is fairly new, and it isn't doing that with any other disk. I honestly don't know what's going on, and my friend is throwing ahissy fit because she can't play her game. Help anyone?

Sounds like you need to clean the lens. If you don't want to disassemble the fattie (it's not hard, the screws are under rubber pads on the bottom) to clean it with alcohol and cotton buds - than use cleaning CD (get a branded one, less chances of scratching the lens). If this won't help - the laser must be replaced.
