Ps3 Price drop in the fourth quarter?

Ever since my friend got a ps3, i've been saving up to get one. However, I don't want to buy one right now if there might be a price drop towards the end of the year. Anyone see a fourth quarter price drop?

Sorry but no. I was beleaved they would announce it at E3 but instead announced more gigs. And today they announced a 160GB PS3 comeing in November I think?

Sony is still loseing money on every PS3 as it so $399 will remain the cheepest one until Sony can start makeing profit. ( by the ned of there fiscal year May 31 or April I think).

Sorry but $399 isn't bad at all. Not with everything it has. A blue ray player is 400 dollarsalone in stores.

If the new 80GB Core Packs are available, that means the two current PS3 SKUs both feature 80GB hard drives. The more expensive ($499) 80GB Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle includes a copy of the popular stealth action game and offers backwards compatibility.

Well if you want, try getting the 80gb Core for $399 or the new 160gb ps3 for $499..
