Ps3 online??????

Question

i borrowed a wireless netgear DG834GT from my mate- set the ethernet cable in the back of the ps3 and the router

still cant get a connection

the ps3 is in the same room as the pc and i can test the signal strength which is 100%

it also gets the IP but when it comes to get the connection it says " failed- this is a DNS error" or something like that

is there something im missing

please help its driving me mad??

try changing the wirless security to wep. I know its a pain if you have other wireless kit connected, but i had this problem with a couple of installations of ps3 wirless and when i changed the security to wep it was straight in with no probs. OH and don't forget to enable UPNP on your router
