Ps3 prob help me. need help?

when i try to hook up my ps3 (wired) it says can not obtain ip addresse, what do i do????

your question is not specific enough.  is it connected to your modem?  or router?  you may have to go to your network settings and configure your settings, such as ip address or account and password.

I had the same problem. I connected my ethernet cable from my PS3 to my Modem and it said it couldn't obtain the IP address. What I did was unplug my modem and PS3 (no power to either one). Waited for about 30 sec. and plugged them back in. After doing this the PS3 was able to find the IP address. I had to do the same for my 360 also. Hope this helps.
