Ps3 problem!!!!! wifi stinks and is 2 at most, fixable?

ok i have my ps3 in a basement, i get a 2 percent strength signal on a blue moon . i have also a linksys wireless g router. how can i get this to work without a cable?(i tried to use an usb receiver not helpful)

You may be able to add a high-gain antenna, or even a directional antenna, to your router.  Take a look at the antenna(s) on it. Are they detachable? If so you can buy a high-gain wifi antenna to replace them. Then your signal will be stronger.

Another possiblity is to change the channel that your router is using. That may help because if a neighbor is using the same channel then it will make it harder for your signal.

You have left out MANY details about your setup, so its gonna be hard to help you out on this one.  I need more info such as....

1) where is your router located?

2) how far away from your PS3 is your router?

3) who is your internet provider?

4) are you able to configure your wireless modem?
