  2. It is part of Stanford's Protein Folding Research Program. Similar programs were available on PC but were pretty much useless before broadband. Now whenever you "fold" your PS3 simulates protein folding to research how proteins develope and how cancers can form. Meanwhile, the awesome processing power of your PS3 is donated temporarily to Stanford's super computer

  3. i just read about it when it came out so i dont know a lot but i do know that everyone that has folding at home... it like combines all the "playstation power" to make like a huge computer that helps with cancer research... i might be a little off but bottom line is it helps with cancer research
