Ps3 vs xbox 360?which is better?

Question

I'm deciding whether or not to buy a xbox 360 or a ps3.some things ive been considering are

online gaming

games

reliability

price

dvd compatibility:blu ray vs hd(i know blu ray won)

future of the console

if you could give me a opinion and some reasons for that opinion it would be gratly appreciated.(;

Xbox 360, mainly because, More games, online is reliable, yet it costs, it has a warranty (send it in get it fixed or get a new one for free), it's cheaper, blu ray is better, but it isn't a necessity, i've had my 360 since launch, no problems

Well in my opinion, I'd go with the 360 because it has Halo 3, Gears of War 2, and Bioshock. And online gaming is awesome, even though it costs money. Plus the price is better. Not to mention the newer consoles isn't as prone to the red ring of death. I also have a ps3, and it isn't as good. The best online gaming is CoD4 and thats also on the 360. The ps3 doesn't even last very long. I had one since january and it stopped reading discs twice. and it took sony two months to send a box to send it back in. My new one broke down about a month ago and i'm still waiting on a box. I wouldn't waste 400 bucks on a ps3 until it has all the bugs out of it.

The Xbox has more good games, but the online costs.

PS3 has a smaller library, but online is free and it has a Blu-Ray.

Personally, I'd go with the Xbox 360.

dude go with the PS3. everyone talks about the xbox360s exclusives but all that is is halo 3, and im not hatin on that game but its pretty much it. the PS3 has metal gear solid four, wich will be the game of the year, and its going to have little big planet which will be game of the year next year so its deffinatly the way to go.

another thing to think about is how much long-term use youll get. right now, the xbox 360 is almost even with the ps3 on graphics. but thats now. the ps3 has so much more potential than the xbox, which is almost maxing out already. think of 6 months from now when ps3 has started to realize what the blue ray software can do. then there will be no choice, and when your spending money you have to think about the long term. ps3 has the same number of games as the 360, or atleast its close. plus the ps3 is coming out with HOME, and you deffinatly should look that up cause it looks really cool. and on a final note, ps3's online is better than 360's. som epeople play the ps3 is more expensive card, but when you factor in the online for a couple of years there the same.

i personally think the 360 is better because the price cheaper than the ps3. also when going to play a gaME on the ps3 ive heard that depending on how much memory the game takes will depend on how long you have to wait for it to download on your ps3. besides, 360 has halo 3 and more online options like xbox live marketplace where you can download demos, music videos, and arcade games. and one year of xbox live gold membership is only 50 bucks which is fairly cheap.

Online Gaming is xbox 360 without a doubt but you have to pay.

Games depends on what games you like. Currently Xbox 360 has more games.

Reliability - same both will fix your console if it stops working.

Price - xbox 360 is cheaper but no blu ray

hands down 360 for price, 60gb for 400 i think can beat that...watching movies in 1080p ps3,also format support, it supports almost all formats from my knowledge...online gaming both[because most good online games are on both consoles]...thats my opinion...

i have a 360 and i love it...get gears of war 1 and 2[november]...

just be careful on purchasing xbox live membership with a credit card...read the disclaimers...lol...trust me on that..

I got both, i use my ps3 for movies pretty much. Xbox 360 is probly better for online and gamming, Halo and counter strike online is the most fun iv ever had with games. Overall i think ps3 have better games, at least solo player games.

Blu ray is over rated i think. To dear at the moment. I did hear a rumour of a bluray xbox.

Best value for money would be the xbox.

The 360 is slightly better. Both are great consoles. But the PS3 is starting to get better and should be having a good future. 360 sales are going down, PS3 sales are going up. Whos better with online and games? 360 obvioulsy. But the PS3 is the definite winner by DVD. If you have a HDTV, you should get PS3 for Blu-Ray. For reliability, probably the PS3.
