Ps3 wireless if i put my ps3 in a cuboard at the back of the room in the opposite direction on my tv?

will the wireless controller still work just wanted to no before i go and buy a longer hdmi cable because i have my tv wall mounted and want the ps3 out of the way

Yes, it will work as the controller is blue tooth and not infra red.

Infra red needs to be pointed at a receiver on the box but blue tooth uses different technology that does not need a receiver and you can still use the controller without pointing it at the PS3 as long as it's within about 10 metres of the unit.

I play my PS3 from outside the house while having a f*g and the PS3 is in a cupboard. Just make sure that the cupboard has enough ventilation or you'll overheat it.
