Ps3 wireless router help?

ok so i have a ps3 and to hook it up to the internet i always have to take the ethernet cable for my cpu and hook it to my ps3 and its a pain in the butt.

so im goin to buy a wireless router

so my questions are

1.will my ps3 pick up the wireless router signal?

2.will my cpu (dell dimension 4600) need a wireless transmitter to pick up the signal?

3.do i just plug the dsl modem ethernet cable into the wireless router to use wireless internet?

  1. I had the same problem. I finally lost my patience when I bought TiVo and it also needed an internet connection. I bought a wireless router. Yes your PS3 will pick up the signal.

    Your CPU may or may not, it's something you will have to check out yourself, but even if it doesn't, if you buy a good quality wireless router, it should have both wireless and wired connectivity, so in other words, your pc can still be connected via the ethernet cabel and your ps3 can be connected wirelessly.

    Your router should come with some cables of it's own, but you can just plug the ethernet you already have into the router to get wireless internet.
