Ps3+Wifi+landline+PC= INTERNET???

Question

Ok i am going out of town/evacuating from hurricane and i am staying in a hotel with wireless internet. Can i Set up my Ps3 and connect it to the wifi, then run a ethernet cable to my pc and pick up a internet signal? (I was told it will work if you had a laptop with an xbox. Dont know if it really works but you have a wifi through your laptop, then connect your X-box and laptop together with a ethernet cable and it supposed to give you internet acces.)

We have a PS3.  Well my husband does.  He does not have it hardwired with an ethernet cable, and it runs just fine off of the wireless.

Your laptop should have a spot to hook up an ethernet cable directly to it, and most hotels (even if they have wireless) still have a hard-wire option to hook up your computer.

If u connect ur Ps3 to wifi, why connect it to the PC? isn't wi-fi wirless internet?
