Anyone have any thoughts on pseudo tumors? I failed a portion of my eye exam and the doctor wanted me to go to a neurologist and on my referral form it said "R/O pseudo tumor....

I have yet to go but I am going to go to the doctor, I have 2 other symptoms. I get bad headaches, and I get pain and pressure behind my eyeballs and my eye will twitch at times.

Any help?

  1. Sounds like  pseudotumor cerebri.

It is cranial pressure due, I believe, to a build up of cerebral fluid. They usually give medication and maybe a shunt to drain it.

Usually occurs in woman of child bearing age that are overweight but not always.
