Psp problem!! screen not working!?

Question

i was playing my psp till the screen turned black. i can still turn it on. and i can still hear the music and everything. i took the top off and in the light you can see the screen. should i get a new screen? is it bricked? help please....

Yeah...try taking the battery out for a few minutes--enough to completely reset the machine.  If that doesn't work, you might have a broken backlight.  A replacement screen assembly is about fifty bucks on eBay, and pretty easy to switch out.

Sounds like your PSP isn't bricked, since you can still hear music and see a screen image in the right room light.
