Psp problems?

Ive had my psp for a veery long time now. like at least a few years and just a few days ago i left it on the charger for about 4 days. When i took it off the psp itself turned on but the screen never came on. I know I didnt have it locked or anything and i tried taking out the battery and turning it on but the screen still didnt come on. Please anyone have any suggestions?

  1. did the psp boot sound play?. if it did then the screen is bad. if it did not, then some component on the board inside the unit is bad.
