UK answers please :)

Can someone detained under the mental health act have their identity changed whilst in hospital? (A few members of family work in a mental hospital and have access to names and it's always freaked me out that they could find out I was in there if that ever arose)

  1. You can change your name legally, but not while in a mental facility.  The anonymity of patients is the law, so no matter who works in a mental hospital, they shouldn't have access to your records.
