Psychic Sam to outclass co-favourites in Night Of Stars Open 350 Semi-final at Shelbourne Park
According to the present betting forecast, the bookmakers have named four co-favourites for the Night Of Stars Open 350 Semi-final, taking place at Shelbourne Park on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.
Kingsmill Puma, Millbankscarface, Big Casino and Psychic Sam are equally strong, and the bookies have made the right move by giving them respect. Psychic Sam, however, seems to have a slight edge over his opponents. Unlike others, the fawn dog is performing
decently at the open level.
He made his debut on a good note, seizing the second place in a 400 yards contest in late August. It was just an unlucky day for the debutant, as he missed the glory only by a length’s distance.
After making a wonderful debut, the son of Cashen Zig further raised his game to ensure a comprehensive win at the start of this month. The spectators saw him staying ahead from pillar to post in a tough race. Courtesy of a flawless effort, P. Curtin’s charge
managed to secure the first rank by three and a half lengths.
After getting off the mark in a great fashion, Psychic Sam could not maintain the standards and as a result, ended up fifth last time. He did not deliver his one hundred percent, and therefore suffered a terrible loss.
The juvenile is still learning the tricks. He is expected not to repeat the mistake this time. His first two performances are enough to show how dangerous he can be on his day.
Today’s 350 yards race is scheduled to get started at 20:10 GMT. The winner will get a cash prize of €50, and more importantly a place in the finale.
Kingsmill Puma is yet to make an impression in this class. Millbankscarface has a decent experience at this level, but his recent form is a concern. Big Casino ran two good races in defeat in May. But it is unsure whether the black dog will be able to show
that magic on his return from a long vacation.
A lot of things are in favour of Psychic Sam. The punters should not judge him on his latest outing, because the dog has the guts to turn the table around.
