How come when i turn my mobile phone off, leave it for a bit then turn it back no its got the correct time? does this use up my Battery?

Wow...I've never heard that before.  Maybe, just maybe the phone gets it from the cell phone tower where it sends/recieves signals.  If your phone is GPS enabled it can get it from the GPS satelites in space.  These satelites do nothing but send the time that they sent signal.  Your GPS receiver uses this data and the satelites they came from to pinpoint your location.  In this case however only the time would be necessary.
