Really depends how high you set your standards and whether or not you match those standards yourself.  People who often emotionally led get hurt more by those who are more impulsive.  People who spend too much time trying to calculate the perfect match may end up with a person they don't like because their standards may be as high as yours and you may not live up to theirs.  Nothing with dating someone beautiful but at least take the time to know them beyond the surface.    

My advice is to don't look to the stars for Mr. Right, the best woman in the world is a confident one (pretty or not).  I know there was once an unattractive Russian woman (a famous one actually but I can't recall) who had more five men as her lover, and they all were obsessed with her and they all said she was confident and really an enchantress of a woman. Women are complex beings all men want to explore.
