what could it mean when a girl or woman likes to be dominated in "certain areas" of her life?

Being dominated means different things to different folks. Personally there is nothing wrong with this so long as both parties are at an understanding. Most times people like being dominated because they are the dominant one in life and want to know how the other half feels like. Or you might feel a sense of security in someone dominating you. Just make sure when it happens it's healthy.
