Why do all the psychics on TV have English accents? Aren't any of them American?

Because they know how to con Americans into anything with what they think is their superior command of the English language and their accents...  Read the Bible, only God knows the answers to what  they claim to know .

its like using the same accent as those who go to an Ivy league college, they dont really talk that way unless they want to impress.  same goes for psychics, the acent is meant to impress you with their knowledge and worldly travels.

If you are referring to the PSYCHICS CHALLENGE there are different races and accents that try out.  And alot of them that are really good, aren't only English people..

I don't think Sylvia Browne, James Van (can't think of the rest of his name right now) , or John Edward have English accents.

If people are putting on airs, it's too bad.  It's hard enough to have others understand what they do and its benefits without adding anything else to the mix.

A lot of the psychics like to pretend to be something their not...most of the time the accent is fake...and English psychics are generally more noted then American ones.

I don't have an answer to your question, but from the west-european psychic bloodlines the British was the least culled by witch hunts and etc which has left western euope psychically blinded. Most US bloodlines are actually German. The German and French bloodlines suffered the most from the church's purges.

It's the classic misdirection move.  Just like on infomercials, for some reason people think an English accent lends credibility.  But the claim to be psychic isn't exclusively an English thing.  There are plenty of American frauds as well.
