  1. yes, there is kinesics, proxemics, environmental psychology, behavioural science to some degree, haptics, oculesics & olfactics.  All no-verbal that involve body language, gestures, expressions etc.  Oh, and this might be interesting for you:

  2. Yes.

    $.05 please

  3. Someone who keeps their legs and arms crossed, especially when in conversation, shows signs of being closed down and who maybe hiding, lying or guilty of something.

  4. Check out the self help section at the book store and you will find so many resources.  In business they teach you what it means when you lean into a question, eye contact when you answer a question, looking to the right or left when reflecting on an answer, firm hand shake, how to dress for success, and they touch on how to speak.  Psychology is a science in every aspect of life, and taken very seriously in business.

  5. Not really.  Probably because that stuff plays only a minimal role on interpersonal relationships, and research has shown that trying to determine what someone is thinking or if they are lying based solely on body language and appearance is very very unreliable.  However, I'm sure that the whole thing would fall under the realm of social psychology, and some researcher out there somewhere is filtering through the possibilities.
