Hello, mine is a case of a child that was emotionally abuse from a young age for 23 years, had a job for 13 years straight that gave me enough money to survive on , then i started seeing a psychologist for 2 years, as a result now i understand why my parent and i behaved the way that we did, However i haven't recovered from the childhood experience, i sleep 2or 3 hours wake up feeling anxiety, stress ,and i have trouble sleeping overall, i get all sorts of different feelings throughout the day, i don't enjoy life as others do, i don't see what the point is , i don't have friends, i don't care for anything, i get depressed, i go through anxiety attacks ,panic attacks, don't want to talk to anyone, don't want to do anything, hate all sorts of noises , cant stand noisy kids, busy environments, cant stand people touching me, hate people telling me what to do, and my anger has gotten worse, how i haven't killed someone up till now is because of my very strong religious beliefs and because i use allot of logic, had i been an atheist i know that i would have been a serial killer for sure(not trying to impress you people just stating reality here, OKAY!) so everyday i wear my

(protective imaginary armour) and i go through life being polite to all so that they do not get sarcastic, rude, obnoxious, demanding, pushy,or hurtful towards me, and all the time all i really want is for all to live me the BLANK! alone, but oh no!!! i am classed as a no good DOLE bludger that should be looking for a job to contribute to society, and all the time all i want out of life is to be left alone, So ! my question is this? do people like me go through the rest of their life feeling like this? does society have to continually expect me to try and change when in reality i can not change? i sit back and try to make sense of it all , watching people and how they live their life's , how they find something to occupy their thoughts, how they have children to give them self's a reason for existing ,and its all pointless to me, useless, so as you can see only a psychologist should touch this and no one that knows little about it

  1. Seems to me that stopping the therapy was too soon. You should go back and include an MD for possible medications that will help you. The meds are there, but you must do your part.

  2. You need to get back into therapy.  Yes, you can change, but it's a two way street in therapy.  Simply addressing your anxiety and sleep issues will help you.  Focus your therapy on your life today, not the past.  Good luck (psychologist)

  3. You need to be treated by a psychiatrist [M.D.] -- not a psychologist or therapist.   Get a referral from your primary physician.   And be sure you go to all the sessions your PSYCHIATRIST (M.D.) recommends.   The M.D. can prescribe medicine to go along with your therapy, which will be appropriate for your particular condition.

Do not continue on with your therapist who is merely helping you realize WHY you're this way (about what happened in your childhood, etc.).   Make sure you're seeing a doctor (M.D.) who can do something about what's going on with you RIGHT NOW.   That may require medication management -- in other words, sometimes the meds need to be changed from time to time.  That does not mean the meds were wrong to start with; it only means that as your condition progresses, sometimes more or less meds are required.

    Don't settle for second best!

Demand to see an M.D. Psychiatrist.   Now.

And then follow through with his/her orders.

Good luck.   Many people have survived this condition and are good, contributing members of society.  You can do it too.

  4. seriously. if you can realize a problem, you can change that. i used to feel the same way. i cut myself and beat myself. i can't really say any thing but try to wake up. i too have gone through some bullshit times. i witnessed my mother get abused as a kid. so all i could do was watch in fear. i got jumped all throughout third grade. no one wanted to know me, my parents didn't care. i felt ignored. i still feel ignored. i feel that the people i know need to be severely beaten. i know how it is. i'm not gonna say i know how you feel you're a grown man. i'm 17. so i have an idea. you may go, hey this b*****d's a kid. but who's the one one who needs help. see, i realized that the past, is the past. you can't change it. if you can go through time and change what happened, h**l bring me. but with that aside, just let go man. a human being can only take so much. you seem you're past the limit. just let go man. what ever happened happened, i know it's hard to let something like that ride, but at least try man. go out, get some sleep medicine, take and just sleep. don't take too much! just enough to sleep and wake up. if you find me useful, just email me, and i'll try to help. if not, i tried.
