Psychology degree? what subjects do you need?

im thinking about doing PPP (physiology, psychology and philosophy -or something along those lines) degree at university. im expecting to need a few sciences maybe. ive talked to some (not very experienced) people about it and theyve said you dont need particular subjects. is this true? if not, what subjects do you need?

  1. Every university has it's own requirements of classes you must take, and then within your major there are other requirements. you just need to look into your university's requirements and your chosen major's requirements at that university.


  2. I don't really understand the question.

    About 1/3 to 1/2 of your required units will be related to your major. There is a huge list to choose from and you will end up taking somewhere a little less or right around 1/3 of these. (It depends on what the specific concentration is to know how many you need and what type). The rest of your classes will be electives chosen from another list to fulfill General Education.

    My advice: Consider majoring in a natural science (biology, chamistry) with some psychology mixed in (it can still be taken as electives for GE). The job field for psychology is extremely limited and it almost always requires a PhD. Even that, though, won't guarantee employment or significant wages.
