  1. It sounds more like a medical thing than a psychological thing. See your doctor.

  2. It sounds like Tourette syndrome. Did you ever have rapid eyeblinking? Does your mind race? Do you get things on your mind that you cannot get off? Do you have trouble paying attention?

If so, something like Strattera or Cymbalta should help. Both medicines take some getting used to but worth it in the end.

  3. I used to work in a state psychiatric hospital and I used to see a lot of our patients who did that kind of thing.

"Abnormal posturing" is considered a prominent symptom in Catatonic Schizophrenia

However, some people who don't a diagnosis of schizophrenia also do that. Some people have depression with catatonic symptoms, for example.

The best thing would be to talk to your doctor.

Another thing to consider is that it might be a side effect of your medication.

I'm not sure what causes it, but my guess is it has something to do with the neurotransmitter dopamine. Imbalances of dopamine can cause both psychosis and abnormal body movement.
