  1. You wouldn't necessarily need to have a minor in anything (I'd recommend sticking with just psychology your first few years until you can decide if you'll have enough free electives that you can successfully take on a minor).  However, the best minors to go with psychology depend on what area of psychology you want a masters in.  If you want clinical or any type of biological psychology, you should probably get a minor in biology.  If you are looking more toward forensic psychology, getting a minor in criminology or political science would be best.  If you like I/O psych, you might shoot for a minor in business management.  If you'd prefer counseling or social psychology, then sociology may be best.  If you want to do research, having a minor in mathematics or chemistry would help.  For health psychology, I would recommend biology, physical therapy, or sociology.

So, ultimately, you can minor in just about anything and it will look good on paper when you go to apply for grad school.  As for colleges in Rhode Island, I can't help you much there.  I have little experience with colleges in that area.  However, you can find a lot of information through the web.  The required classes, GPA scores, etc will all vary by school - most colleges will post that information on their website, and if they don't, they will provide that information to you if you contact them via email or phone.
