Ptosis Surgury?

If you have ptosis at birth, would that be consider a birth defect and would you be eligile for free surgury since it is a birth defect. Also if it is, what are links to it. Thank You

  1. Ptosis at birth is a congenital birth defect.  It's most of the time genetic.  It's the fault of the Dr., hospital, the mom, the father of anyone else.  It's just something that happens, unfortunately.

    Corrective surgery for droopy eyelids (Ptosis) would not make you eligible for free surgery.  I talked to a Dr. friend of mine, and he said that most insurances would cover this surgery to improve vision (by keeping the eyelid open).
