PuPS?????????

Question

I have spybot search and destroy. When I do a scan it's shows about 7PUPS.

I can't delete them. Why?

And what are PUPS?

pup is spyware.

Make sure you don't have a program like kazaa on your PC.

Try running spybot in safe mode, if that does not do the trick try this scan:

PUP = Potentially Unwanted Program. It's a program that basically can be used for used for good purposes OR malicious purposes.

When dealing with a PUP, always know exactly what you are deleting...you can very well end up deleting something that is useful to you.

A possible reason that you cannot delete, is that the file is in use at the time that you try to remove. Windows does not allow the deletion of a file while that file is in use.
