Pub or club in Galway?

Question

I'm Italian and i'm living in Dublin. next Sunday i'm going with a couple of irish friends to Galway, can u please suggest a couple of nice bars or clubs where we can spend a good night?

All the drinking holes in Ireland are great. Dont go to the hotel bars, cos` you will need apot of gold to pay for the beer.

I was there a few years ago.  There are only two clubs one is GPO (its right near the post office), the Quays is good, I love the Kings Head, Rosin Dobh (not sure on spelling means the black rose), The living room is good not as traditional though.  There are tons in Eyer square and in the main shopping ar.  Also ask people when you get there im sure they will have some recommendations.

Have fun i miss Ireland a lot and Galway especially have a great time.

Naughtans on key street is really famous it on the corner opposite the keys. The keys and the kings head are also famous but are much newer bars. Across the river the other side of town there are bars called the rosin dubh it was a nice bar sometimes good bands but i think ownership has changed and it not cosy more noise (smokers really like it as the third floor, roof is fully heated with tables and chairs ) The blue note is quite nice, McMahon's is known for a great pizza and a bar called the crane is very famous for a real traditional Irish trad music session well worth sitting in on . Mcdounaghas has the best fish and chips i ever tasted its on key street.

Clubs the are many clubs just ask around everything in galway has its month. So whatever people are into that week its best to go there for a good time.

spanish arch, blue door, red square. iits been a few years since Ive been in Galway, but they were good ones. look it up on the internet

kings head and the hole in the wall are good pubs and CP's is the best night club... (there are more then two clubs!!)
