Public Relations Question?

I was wondering if someone could tell me the pros and cons of going into public relations. Also, what are some good colleges to go to if I want to study this.

Re Colleges - depends on your location.  (I'm in Western Canada, there's a very good program at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver).

Pros:  exciting, dynamic, lots of variety in the work.  You can specialize (e.g. crisis communications; community relations; etc.).  

Cons: salaries are relatively low to start but if you hang in there you can build up to a good income.  

Look for jobs in government, in large companies, at PR firms.
