I am a freshman at a private school right now. But i HATE it so much!

If i got straight A's at a Public school or B's at a Private school, would it look the same to colleges?

i really want to transfer to a public high school, should I?

  4. You and your parents would have to discuss this issue thoroughly before reaching a good decision.  It would depend on the private school, your parents' ability to pay for it, on the public school, your ability to learn in either place, how much effort each school puts into each graduate's pursuit of scholarships, of preparing each graduate to get the best scores they can on the PSAT, SAT, ACT, whatever other standardized tests they need to get where they want to go, electives and activities offered by each school.... and tons of other stuff.  Your parents want you to get the best possible education in the safest place possible, with the most advantages possible.  Do some research -- find out if the public school in your locale can do these things better than your private school.  Present your research findings to your parents with a well-thought-out set of reasons you want to switch.  They're much more likely to listen to that than they are to a whiney-crying emotional meltdown of "because I want to!"  And it's possible that in doing your research, if you are honest with yourself, you may find out that you're in a pretty good situation after all, so you should learn to love it there.  You won't know the results until you do the research!

    Good Luck!
