Over the past two years, my wife and I have been meeting lots of people with some kind of connection to the state of Texas. Almost all of then have told us that the public school system is very good in texas. We have three boys (7,3,3 yes a set of twins) and education is an important value to us, and we have not been very happy with the quality of education they have been getting here in California?

Texas was ranked 25 out of 50 states for education. Not bad, but it's down from last year.

If you like the heat and the unpredictable weather, Texas is the place for you!

I have various friends scattered throughout Texas. Some in Dallas, some in Austin and Houston and some in the AirForce. Everyone seems to enjoy it, particularly those in suburbs of Austin and Dallas. The schools they attended have very large music and arts programs and are just that: VERY LARGE. Good luck in your decision!

  2. Move to Odessa, Texas. There is a school called Reagan Magnet Elementary School. THe schools motto is: "Excellence is our Tradition." This is true. It is a blue ribbon school. I would give you the site to other schools in Odessa, but the page isn't working right now.
