Public Smoking Policy Peurto Vallarta?

Question

Do any of you know what the public smoking policy is there? We will be staying at a friend's private villa in Punta Mita, so I can smoke outdoors there, but we will be in Peurto Vallarta to eat, etc. a lot. When I have traveled to Aruba they had a no smoking policy but even the top restaurants insisted I smoke in them. Just wondering about this trip to Mexico.

there absolutely not prohibition on smoking  zones in any part of Mexico(try to ask a Mexican to turn off his cigar down in Mexico!!! lol), some places have smoking sections but that's as far as you will worry, (we're talking about cigarettes, right??) other wise u better think it twist a gringo get caught by a Mexican policeman would not turn in a good experience, and about your other Q i just saw on the news that you can bring lighter again is 2 expensive for airlines to search go matches or lighters
