Public Transport in Dublin? What are the best options?

I will be spending 2 days in Dublin without a car. We are staying at the Comfort Inn Parnell Square. The one thing I would like to see is Trinity College but are very fliexible elsewhere. Oh and I need to get to the airport on the final day to fly back home! Can anyone suggest the best (ie probably cheapest) method of transportation. We are keen to walk but unsure of distances. Is there a good bus or train network. Thanks.

  1. Trinity College is only ten minutes maybe less walk from Parnell square straight down O Connell Street across the bridge, the road forks into two keep to the right fork and its in front of you. There are buses to most parts of the city and the Dart (electric train) runs all around the bay and is a good way to get around.

There is an airport shuttle bus also. You can get information from the tourist office.  I think there is one on O Connell Street still but there is definitely one on St. Andrew Street just off Grafton Street.
