Public information on adopted sibling.?

Can I obtain my adopted sisters records just to keep. About 8/9 yrs back she was adopted because of my mothers drug abuse causing her to have cerebral palsy. Actually all of us were adopted. There is 5 of us in total and 4 of us are in contact. There is only one of us who we can't see or contact because adoptive parents wanted that. Can I still obtain her birth certificate to keep?

if only it were that easy, we would all have our birth certificates.  i do not own one, nor is it legal for me to own one in the great state of new york.

if she was born in one of the six states that have open records, she can obtain one.  i don't know legally, if you personally can get one.
