Public liability would that cover my child accidently scratching a friends car on our property?

  1. Yes it should cover.  Don't be penny wise and pound foolish though.  You have insurance, use it !  You never know what other damage may be found after you pay for it on your own.


  2. That's a perfect example of what liability covers regardless of who's property you are on. Depending on how much damage there is to the car, your probably better off paying for it yourself since the possibility of a rate increase could cause you to pay more down the road for a small claim. Insurance companies hate small claims more than big ones. A few small claims haunt you more than one big one. Often times detail shops can fix that stuff for a few hundred bucks.
